Someone once told me that if I wasn’t absolutely on fire to tell the stories of life, then I shouldn’t become a filmmaker. Holding onto that and pursuing a lifestyle as a creator, I engage the world around me to showcase the wonder of existence through film and photography. I believe in people, love, and stories, and this is the foundation that 7X7 NEWELL is built on. People create love, love creates stories.
As well as being my name, a ‘Newell’ is the central pillar in a winding staircase. My goal is to create unique imagery and visuals that bring stories and ideas to life through cinematography. I am the central pillar in helping to make these stories, with every step elevating this intention.
In many ways filmmaking can show us the world, but for me, filmmaking showed me the world. It’s not telling stories for a living, but rather living to tell stories.
